Summer of 2006 heralds the introduction of the Tempo Collection featuring handbags with a more casual focus. Wool Felt and Ultra Suede along with inventive techniques and materials highlight the larger sized designs that are destined to be must-have accessories.
Faced with the prospect of being the Mother of the Groom, Meryl Perloff began looking for a handbag to complement the dress she would wear to her son's wedding. Searching high and low, she was unable to find anything in just the right color and style that would add the perfect finishing touch. An interior designer and artist by trade, Meryl decided she would simply design her own handbag. The result? A finely crafted custom design that not surprisingly, drew rave reviews from wedding guests. Dina P Purses was born.
Meryl now designs and creates distinctive and stylish evening bags under the Dina P label named for her mother Dina Perloff. Dina was the matriarch of the family and in her genteel manner, taught her daughters and granddaughters volumes about style, quality and looking your best. (And she just so happened to have a fetish for purses.)
